'Of Poseidon' by Anna Banks

I'm back!

Today's book is 'Of Poseidon' by Anna Banks. Of Poseidon is told from Galen's[the prince of the Syrena] and the protagonist, Emma's point of view. The story starts with Emma running into Galen [literally!] in Florida on a beach with her friend, Chloe. Both Galen and Emma sense a connection.  Embarrassed, Emma quickly makes her exit with Chloe. Later, when they are playing in some of the deeper waters, Chloe is killed by a shark, sadly after Emma asked the shark to go away. Galen helps saves Emma when she is about to drown as she has ran out of air. This novel is very funny, [it has become one of my favourite books now] and I would recommend it for 14-15 year olds.

Here's the book description:

Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish.
Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen—literally, ouch!—both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts.
Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom...

Told from both Emma and Galen's points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance.

Sorry if this blog post has been short. :P

Until next time!

Pssst! There is a sequel to 'Of Poseidon'. It's called 'Of Triton'. I haven't read it yet, but it seems so exciting! There is also a 3rd book coming out next year, called 'Of Neptune'. Watch out for that!
