The book for today is called 'Divergent'.[One of my FAVEE books] It is set in a futuristic Chicago where the people who live there are divided into 5 factions, each meant to represent a value. They are: Abnegation [the selfless], Amity [the peace], Candor [the honest], Dauntless [the brave] and Erudite [the intelligent].
On a selected day, all sixteen year olds will take something called an aptitude test to determine which faction they are best suited for. They can either choose to leave their for another faction, or stay in their current faction. The main character, Beatrice Prior [later known as Tris] leaves her faction for another faction.
This book is very interesting as it is set in the future [how cool, right?]and fast paced. I would recommend this book for [hmmm....] 13-15 year olds.
